We stayed in this tiny town on the way to and from other destination. Hands down, these are our favorite tacos!

Lago de Bacalar

We camped here for one night. We swam in the warm, clear blue, fresh water lake. We sat quietly and took in the beauty surrounding us.

Our visit to the Palenque ruins was nothing short of spectacular. By far, they are my favorite ruins so far.

Playa Zipolite

We stayed here for 10 unplanned days because Keith had a good old fashioned cold. It was a good place to hole up and be sick.

We loved our time in Oaxaca but, it's not because of the city. We camped with several wonderful travelers at Overlander Oasis in Santa Maria del Tule, just outside Oaxaca. We were waiting for spare tires to arrive so we ended up being there a whole week.

Traveling to Oaxaca

We crossed a big mountain range as we traveled from Cuetzatlan to Oaxaca. The photos below are from that day. It was filled with twisty roads, several trucks with alters/shrines in celebration of Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe along with people running and bicycling for the celebration.

Cuidad Seradan

We decided to stop for the night in Cuidad Seradan on our way to Oaxaca. It was a delightful little town.

Lagos de Morena

We decided to spend a quick night in Lagos de Morena on our way from Zacatecas to Guanajuato and we were pleasantly surprised by our hours in the little town.

Zacatecas, Mexico - Rafael Coronel Museum at Ex-Convento de San Francisco

These photos represent many that we took at this stunning place built in the 1500's. We were snapping photos at every turn! There were 3,000 masks on display with another 8,000 in storage. Plus, there were puppets, paintings, and 3-D objects. These are some of our favorite shots but, if you're curious, Google the place to learn more.

Zacatecas, Mexico

We love exploring Zacatecas so there are LOTS of photos to share!
